Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-17

These terms apply when you use the cuemark iOS app or the cuemarkapp.com backend. Plain English on purpose.

1. What cuemark is

cuemark is a movie-planning app. It helps you keep a watchlist, find showtimes, save itineraries, log tickets, and prep for what you're seeing. It is not a ticket seller — when you tap "buy tickets," you're being handed off to the theater chain's own app or to Fandango. Anything you buy, you buy from them under their terms.

cuemark is independently built and not affiliated with any theater chain, ticket marketplace, film studio, or data provider named in the app.

2. Your account

You can use most of cuemark without an account. Signing in (one-tap email link, no password) just syncs your data across devices.

You're responsible for keeping access to the email address tied to your account. If you lose access to that inbox, contact us at [email protected] from a verifiable channel.

You agree not to:

3. Third-party data + content

Showtimes, posters, trailers, scores, podcasts, and film metadata in cuemark come from third parties (TMDb, YouTube, SerpAPI, RottenTomatoes, the theaters themselves). We aggregate and present this content; we don't own it.

4. What you upload + suggest

When you submit a theater suggestion, feedback via the "tell us" form, or a ticket receipt (forwarded email or photo capture), you grant cuemark a license to use that content to operate and improve the service. Theater suggestions specifically may be used to update the seed list shipped to all users (after AI validation + human review). Ticket receipts are processed only for your account's log and not shared.

Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share.

5. Service availability

cuemark is a small operation. We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees. The backend (cuemark-backend on Cloudflare Workers) may be unavailable during deploys or upstream incidents. Showtimes fetching depends on third-party APIs (TMDb, SerpAPI, etc.) — if they go down, the in-app showtimes feature degrades.

6. Liability

The service is provided "as is." We're not liable for missed films, sold-out shows, schedule changes, ticket disputes, or any indirect loss arising from using the app. Where law (e.g., consumer protection statutes) gives you rights this clause can't waive, those rights still apply.

7. Termination

You can stop using cuemark anytime. You can request full account deletion via [email protected] (see the Privacy Policy).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or expose us to legal risk. Where possible we'll warn first.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States. Disputes go through the courts in that jurisdiction.

9. Changes

If we materially change these terms, we'll notify TestFlight + App Store users via in-app banner before the change takes effect.
